P.A.W.S. Animal Adoption Center welcomes January Peavey to the PAWS Board of Trustees.

January Peavey has gained years of experience in insurance, finance and business networking through her work at Allen Agency.  Peavey is currently the owner-operator of Start Farm Insurance in Rockport. “As an animal lover and local State Farm Agent who possesses the innate desire to help people, support my community, and finds ways to give back, it was an easy decision for me to become to a board member of PAWS Animal Adoption Center. In this role, I can support this wonderful non-profit, the community and the animals (both locally and those brought in from high kill shelters)” stated Peavey.

January also adds “in addition my goal is to help people be able to keep their animals. Each year animals are surrendered due to fact that they own an animal breed that their insurance company does not permit. As a State Farm Agent and an owner of three beautiful dogs, it is important for me to be able to help people insure their home and liability exposure, regardless of the breed of animal that they possess. By spreading this great news and educating people, we are hoping to help people keep more dogs and animals in their home with their families. We recognize that animals are not just ‘pets’, they are truly a member of the family!”

“We are excited to have January as part of the PAWS leadership team. She is passionate about helping animals and in helping PAWS grow to meet the needs of our community.” Says Shelly Butler, PAWS Executive Director.
