Due to concerns associated with the pandemic, New Hope for Women’s Pop Up Shop Committee has cancelled the 2020 Pop Shop. This very difficult decision is especially unfortunate at a time when needs are growing as many victims experience the impact of having been isolated with their abusers during the stay-at-home mandate. Thanks to the very generous support of our amazing community, the committee previously raised $36,000 for New Hope for Women. The decision to cancel creates a significant gap in this year’s budget. While we are all inundated with the magnitude of community needs, those who are able to make a donation to New Hope for Women to help fill this gap may do so by visiting newhopeforwomen.org or by mailing to P.O. Box A, Rockland, Maine 04841. Among other services for victims, donations will support new transitional housing units where victims live for up to two years as they work toward stabilization.
Our 2021 event will be filled with great finds including an expanded jewelry section. We are actively collecting high quality women’s clothing and accessories for next year’s Pop Up Shop. This includes clothing of all sizes and for all seasons (no stains or tears, please) as well as shoes, hats, scarves, and jewelry. Please contact the Development Director at 594.2128 or jlemole@newhopeforwomen.org with any questions or to arrange for pick up or drop off.
With thanks and gratitude from the Pop Up Shop Committee:
