Today’s March Meet the Maker challenge is “favorite product”. I picked our body butters. I love to make our butters because it reminds me of making frosting for a celebration cake. The process is very similar but instead of butter and sugar our body butters start with flower infused oils that are chilled and whipped with a kitchen mixer. One of the real benefits of using a natural body butter instead of a lotion is we don’t add water. This means a little goes a long way. At markets folks who are use to using a water based lotion take way too much and it feels greasy. But your skin wants you to drink water not put it on your lovely body. Not adding water is also go for your wallet. A single tin of butter will lasts a few months. Long lasting, hard working products are not just good for you- they are good for our environment. How products are package is a big deal to Mother Earth. Less is more as far as our planet is concerned.
