Miniature Flapper Dresses made from The Great Gatsby

This is my new Flapper Series, with F. Scott Fitzgerald short stories and novels.

The Flapper feather dress is adorned with pearls and feathers from an unmarred page in a heavily marked up copy of The Great Gatsby, which I saved from the thrift bin. It is a beautiful book and deserves a beautiful tribute.

The Great Gatsby black fringe dress has the vintage zigzag pattern on a dropped waist skirt with beads and bows.

The other two are made from a vintage short story “Bernice Bobs Her Hair” (first published in the Saturday Evening Post in 1920.) Note: the older short stories have a yellowed patina due to the age of the book.

Each comes with its own custom tiny hanger. All design concepts and photos © Kay Stephens

All of the dresses are $25 each and can be purchased either on our Etsy page (and shipped to you) or found at Beyond The Sea, a bookshop in Lincolnville.
