You have to see this in person
The Witch Hare, is a miniature fairy dress made from dried grass and cattail fluff perched in a shadowbox on a bed of dark green moss with two sprouting mushrooms. The back story of comes from Irish folklore: The Witch Hare is the story of a woman who tried to shoot a hare foraging in her her garden until it turned into a changeling dark fairy and came back for revenge.
It is a delicate art piece, and comes with a tiny LED light that lights up the bodice of the dress inside the shadowbox with one click.
This one-of-a-kind shadowbox can be found at Alder and Vine in Belfast. This piece is part of an art show that will only be up for the next several weeks.
