The Study Hall offers tutoring programs that cover all the areas of middle school math—decimals, fractions, percent, calculations with multiplication and division without using a calculator, weights and measures, understanding data in graphs and some simple geometry like area and perimeter.  These skills are needed in order to even begin to do high school math like Algebra and Geometry.

Katey Smith, certified K-8 and former middle school teacher, is currently accepting students in her tutoring schedule. According to Katey, “Math provides critical thinking skills and problem solving that are crucial to life outside of school. I am eager to work to help each student understand math concepts, how they relate to their lives, and build confidence in their problem-solving abilities.”

Call The Study Hall at 236-3949 or email rockport@thestudyhall.com to enroll your son or daughter in one of our tutoring programs. Each program is designed around individual strengths and weaknesses. Typically, students meet with a tutor one-on-one for one hour each week and work on assigned material to practice between sessions.
