Microchipping Clinic - Rockland
Join us in Rockland for a microchipping clinic on Saturday, May 4th from 10:00am-1:00pm to benefit the Pope Memorial Humane Society!
It is estimated that 1 in 3 pets will become lost in their lifetime. Less than 4% of lost cats and only 15-20% of lost dogs make it back home to their families. The pets that do find their way home are either wearing an ID tag or are microchipped.
A microchip is injected under the loose skin of your pet near their shoulder blades just like a vaccine. It is roughly the size of a grain of rice and provides a permanent means of identifying your pet should their ID tags become lost.
The cost is only $25* per pet - no appointment necessary, just stop by our Rockland location from 10:00am-1:00pm! Dogs must be on a 6' (or shorter) leash and cats in a carrier. All proceeds will be donated to the Pope Memorial Humane Society.
Pope Memorial uses Petlink microchip. There are no additional fees. Other pets besides cats and dogs are welcome at the Rockland clinic. Please make sure that all animals are secured safely either on leash or in a carrier.
* For the 2019 year, the Pope Memorial Humane Society has been granted funding to provide FREE microchips for any cats of residents that live within the towns that they are contracted with! For more information regarding the free microchips, please contact the shelter at (207) 594-2200. To help raise funds for the animals at the shelter, if you are able, we ask that you please consider making a small donation to Pope Memorial during our clinic. Thank you!
