Audrey Dennis, a Medomak Valley graduate, joined the Online Learning Coach staff this April. She has 6 years experience as a former middle school and high school Special Education Teacher, in both Maine and Maryland. She taught and co-taught a variety of levels of mathematics and English, as well as other subjects, in small and large group settings. As a special education teacher she was also responsible for assisting in the creation and implementation of individualized education plans.

Organization and study skills are the key to being a successful student, Audrey believes in teaching these skills to students whether they attend a brick and mortar school or are involved in online learning.

Audrey is currently living in Virginia with her family. She is a respite care provider for military families who have children with special needs. She received her BA in Sociology with a minor in Educational Studies at the University of Southern Maine in 2003.

She has two children of her own, age 19 and 17. Her daughter attended an online private school and her son’s high school has currently gone virtual. Audrey is knowledgeable of how to navigate online education and assist children in creating systems to be successful in this environment. She is very excited to be working as a learning coach.
