I am excited to be hosting a morning event on Saturday January 18th from 9:00am-12:00pm at our house in Rockport.
Malcolm Brooks will be teaching us how to turn a story into a free voice poem and melody. We will end the morning in recording a song.
I was first introduced to lyrical writing this past summer when I taught a workshop at Maine Media. Malcolm joined my class and led us through this process of writing a story through song.
I wrote about this life-changing experience on my blog.
Malcolm is a great teacher. You’ll participate in transforming a lived experience into song.
