The Lincoln Home Hosts Business After Hours

Mon, 06/21/2021 - 5:15pm
The Lincoln Home and Damariscotta Region Chamber of Commerce hosted a Business After Hours event on a beautiful, summer evening last Wednesday. The Damariscotta River was the backdrop for an outdoor gathering with an incredible spread of delicious food created by the Lincoln Home culinary team, including fresh oysters, wine and beer.  Music was provided by the talented Orville Lee. Stunning flower arrangements, by Midcoast Blooms, adorned the high top tables. It was a lively gathering with Chamber members enjoying in person connections.

Director Lorrie Winslow welcomed many local businesses, staff and residents for the first in-person gathering in over a year. She spoke of the work accomplished since last fall on redefining The Lincoln Home brand to reflect their mission of providing Vibrant Senior Living each and every day.  Lorrie shared her excitement for a summer line-up of  outdoor music that will bring the community  together to enjoy great music, good food and dancing on their field overlooking the river. The music line up appeals to all tastes, including The Boneheads and Orville Lee on July 15, the Jazzbabies on August 18, The Oyster Creek Fiddlers and Sandy River Ramblers on September 12.  These events will help fund the Lincoln Home Endowment, which allows The Lincoln Home to provide reduced rates to Lincoln County residents.  More information and tickets are available on the Lincoln Home website, www.lincoln-home.org. Lorrie also offered  the use of their field to host an event, a small gathering, wedding, photo shoot, family reunion, etc. in exchange for a donation to the Resident Assistant Fund.  For more information, contact Lorrie at 563-3350 or lorrie@lincoln-home.org.
