Las Caferatas is a Chicano band from East LA. Fusing spoken word, rhythms and music with roots in folk, traditional, Son Jarocho, and Afro-Mexican genres, this group delivers a unique LA sound with inspiring lyrics in English, Spanish and Spanglish.  Las Caferatas uses music as a vehicle to bridge the boundaries that exist among distinct cultures and communities.
