Camden Rotary Music by the Sea Moved to Monday, July 5

Sat, 07/03/2021 - 2:45pm

The Camden Rotary Club’s annual Music by the Sea celebration, originally scheduled for July 4, will take place on Monday, July 5, due to a rainy weather forecast for Independence Day.

Residents and visitors are invited to two free performances in the Camden Library Amphitheatre:

The Midcoast Brass Quintet will perform marches, jazz, and patriotic tunes from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

The Right Track will bring high-energy rhythm and blues, funk, and soul to the celebration from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m.

The concerts are part of a 25-year Camden Rotary Club tradition of marking Independence Day with free entertainment. Donations from generous sponsors cover event costs and support the club’s annual grants to nonprofit organizations in Knox County and Lincolnville.

An earlier performance by a pop ensemble from Maine’s 195th Army National Guard Band has been canceled.

Audience members are invited to bring picnic blankets and beach chairs to the Amphitheatre. Refreshments will not be sold onsite but can be brought from home or purchased at local stores.
