Camden Rotary Extends Grant Application Deadline to February 15

Fri, 01/27/2023 - 7:15am

The Camden Rotary Club Foundation is giving local nonprofit 501c3 organizations an extra two weeks to submit grant applications. Nonprofits serving people in Knox County and Lincolnville now may apply for grants until February 15.

Awards will include four large grants: one for $10,000 and three for $5,000 (with one reserved for a project that serves young people). Two small grants of $2,500 each are also available.

The club welcomes applications from local nonprofit organizations that improve people’s lives.

The Foundation favors projects whose grant awards represent a sizable portion of a project’s total cost. Also, applicants must demonstrate that they are able and ready to start in 2023 on the project for which it seeks funding. Previous recipients of large grants must wait three years to reapply, and previous small grant recipients must wait two years.

“Our fundraising efforts over the last year have made it possible for us to provide $30,000 to charitable causes in 2023,” said Camden Rotary Grants Committee Chair Richard Householder. “Our grants committee, board of directors, and members will announce our 2023 grantees in March after we carefully review the applications.”

Complete details and application forms are available on the grants page of the club’s website: camdenrotary.org.
