Mon, 10/08/2018 - 6:15pm

ROCKPORT, MAINE – October 8, 2018 – Midcoast high school students and their parents are invited to a briefing about the Rotary International Short-Term Exchange Program (STEP) at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 16, in the Camden Hills Regional High School Conference Room.

The STEP program, which matches each participant with a student from a country of their choice, is run by Rotary International’s worldwide network of volunteers in compliance with U.S. State Department standards for international exchanges.

During the summer, the two matched students spend several weeks together in each other’s homes and communities on a schedule determined by their families. This reciprocal family-to-family exchange is open to students 15 to 18 years of age.

The briefing will include an overview of the program, testimonials by past participants and plenty of time for questions and answers.
