Ashwood Waldorf School will present Winter Revels: Joy!, a free, family-friendly performance at the Camden Opera House on Wednesday, December 19, at 4:00 p.m.

Students, aged 7-13, will romp the stage for a brief and energetic program of hilarious sketches, inspiring poetry, and music and dance from around the world. Our theme this year is JOY!, and we invite one and all to revel merrily with us! Featuring: “The Mummers Play," an English folk drama, complete with dragons, dark knights, clowns, and sword dancing; Klezmer song and dance; the poetry of Alfred Lord Tennyson; as well as vocal and instrumental music from the Danish String Quartet, and the Irish singer-songwriter Enya; plus, a special guest appearance of the Penobscot Bay Ringers handbell choir!

This annual performance is modeled on the traditional, seasonal Revels performances that originated in the Boston area. Family fun for all.
