The public is cordially invited to Ashwood Waldorf School’s Annual Open House and Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, April 6, from 10-noon at 180 Park Street, Rockport. Join us for a morning of free homemade pancakes (while they last!) with real maple syrup, as well as fun, hands-on activities for all ages. Tromp down to the sugar shack to see the sap boiling down. Learn circus tricks, including plate-spinning, juggling, rola-bola, and poi. Try your hand at the ancient Indian art of rangoli, or sand painting. Solve a math mystery, puzzle or riddle. The littlest ones can celebrate spring with a simple craft of ribbon-stick making at the early childhood center. All this and a sing-along flash mob! Student artistic and academic work will be on display, and faculty will be on hand for informal conversations with those who would like to learn more about Ashwood or the Waldorf method.
