The have learned not only how to feed and show the animal they have learned time management, responsibility and how to market their animals. For many this is their summer job, while for others they are holding down a summer jobs as well as raising their animals. Many will use the money from their projects to invest in their next project or save for their future education. On Sunday August 18th at 4:00 p.m the market show will take place on the fairgrounds. This is a great opportunity for potential buyers to come and watch the animals and youth and hear what the judge has to say about the animal. There will be a buyers reception on Monday August 19th at 6:00 which is a change to meet and talk with the youth about their animals. The auction will follow at 6:30 p.m. in the show ring. This is a great chance to purchase locally raised meat for your family or restaurant. All you have to do is bid! We will transport the animal to the processor for you. Laying hens will be available to go home with you that night.
