2019 Toboggan Nationals date announced
The 29th annual U.S. National Toboggan Championships will be held Friday-Sunday, Feb. 8-10, 2019, at the Camden Snow Bowl. Up to 425 teams of two, three and four people race for the fastest times down the 400-foot-long wood toboggan chute that dates back to 1936. In Tobogganville, a bonfire burns all weekend, there are food and retail vendors, a costume parade and competition and tons of tailgating happening. It’s a great way to spend a winter weekend in Maine, enjoying the great outdoors.

The 2018 Toboggan Nationals’ lodging sponsors included the Bay View Collection, including Lord Camden Inn, 16 Bay View Hotel and Camden Harbor Inn, all located in downtown Camden, Camden Riverhouse, as well as Spouter Inn B&B at Lincolnville Beach.
Team registration opens early- to mid-November, and reserved parking spaces sell out fast. Cost is $30/racer on 2-person, 3-person and 4-person teams.
Spectators are welcome and encouraged to attend, with no entrance fee. Public parking at the Snow Bowl Saturday and Sunday of race weekend is $10 per car. Space is limited, and shuttle buses are available from downtown Camden for a $2 round-trip.
