BELFAST — Ignoring the early morning chilly weather, residents and visitors lined the streets of downtown Belfast to watch the annual Memorial Day parade, which began after multiple services.

The Memorial Day ceremonies began at 8 a.m. with services at the High Street American Legion Post 43, followed by services held in front of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3108, located on Field Street.

Three services were also held at Grove Cemetery before the parade got under way. The procession began at 10 a.m., leaving from Renys’ parking lot, before making its way down Main Street to Belfast’s waterfront, where the final ceremony took place.
