Runners took to the streets of Rockland Sunday, Aug. 2 for the annual Lobster Festival children’s one-mile fun run, and adult 10K (six miles) races.

Main Street closed to traffic for the children and their parents as they scooted from the entrance of Harbor Park to the ferry terminal entrance and back. Their return trip was followed by a group of marines out for a jog as well.

Downtown Main Street was then reopened while a portion of North Main Street closed so 10K runners could loop the Ocean Street to Mechanic Street neighborhood before running to the Owls Head Transportation Museum and back along the same route.

The following pictures are of runners of the 10K.
