MONTVILLE — The snow is deep in Montville now, with some roads hit with 10-foot drifts. Vernon LeCount sent in these photos of the Jack Martin plowing crew, contracted to plow some of Montville's town roads.

These scenes, pictured February 6, are from a road on Twitchell Hill ridge in West Montville. The drifts from the storm of February 5 were so large they stopped the large plow truck. The driver had to abandon the truck in the middle of the night. The next day a front-end loader dug the truck out and moved it.

The drifts were 10 feet tall, and this was the smallest of the last three storms, according to LeCount.
