    Interment will be held at a later date.

    FRIENDSHIP — Wesley Austin Lash Sr. died unexpectedly at his home in Friendship March 25, 2013.

    He was born in Rockland Aug. 4, 1945, to Winfield and Barbara Fales Lash. A graduate of Waldoboro High School, he attended Southern Maine Vocational Technical Insitute, where he studied machining.

    In 1969 he married Cynthia Richards and raised his family in Friendship.

    ROCKLAND — Jeffory John Clough, 66, died at his home March 22, 2013, from complications of an extended respiratory illness.

    Born in Augusta Nov. 28, 1946, he was the son of Fred A. and Josephine Kantauskis Clough. In 1959, Jeffory moved with his family to Bethel, and they later lived in Rumford and Cape Elizabeth. He attended Cape Elizabeth High School and was a 1965 graduate of Maine Classical Institute in Pittsfield. In 1969 Jeffory graduated from Nasson College in Springvale.

    She was born April 6, 1947, in Gloversville, N.Y., the daughter of Frederick and Dorothy May Hesner Pettit. She was a graduate of Wells (New York) Central High School, where she was president of her class and student council, editor of the school newspaper and a cheerleader.

    ROCKPORT — Virginia Martin Burchell, 91, of Rockport, died March 5, 2013, at Pen Bay Medical Center. Born in Pittsburgh, Pa., Jan. 6, 1922, she was the daughter of Clarence Paul and Helen Elizabeth (Martin) Helbling. Ginny attended public schools in Pittsburgh and in 1939 had just entered college when she eloped with E. Roy Burchell, a tall, dark, handsome divinity student she met at a Methodist youth group.

    WALDOBORO — Austin W. Achorn, 86, died March 20, 2013, at Windward Gardens in Camden. He was born May 7, 1926, in Waldoboro to Amos and Myrtle Wentworth Achorn. Austin grew up in Waldoboro and graduated from Waldoboro High School.

    He worked for GTE Sylvania in Waldoboro for 35 years. He also worked as an electrician.

    Born in Hodgdon June 14, 1932, he was the son of Donald L. and Hetty Scott Tidd.

    He was a 1951 graduate of Hodgdon High School.

    Shirley served in the U.S. Army during the latter part of the Korean War.

Born in Lincoln March 19, 1914, she was the daughter of Claude and Hazel (Weymouth) Butterfield and was a 1932 graduate of Bangor High School. She was also a graduate of Beal Business College in Bangor. In 1949, she married Harry W. Baker in Camden. She was employed for many years in Portland where she worked at Utilities Distributors Inc.

    CAMDEN — Alan Milton Travers, 62, of Camden, died March 16, 2013, at his home. Born in New Bedford, Mass., May 18, 1950, he was the son of Chester and Betty (Raymond) Travers. Alan was a 1968 graduate of Dartmouth High School and in 1973, graduated from University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

    In 1975, he moved to Camden, where he worked as a carpenter and later operated his own automobile repair shop for many years from his home. He was known as the "go-to mechanic" in Camden.

    June was born in Winchester, Mass., the daughter of Ervin Charles Tracy and Eldith Merrill Lewis Tracy. She is predeceased by her sister, Jean Thomas.

    Born in Waterville Oct. 2, 1928, she was the daughter of Dr. Raphael and Christine Poulin.

    As a child Mary Ann was taught to dance the routines that her mother learned watching the movie musicals. She performed in many variety shows and talent contests around the state and was known as "The Little Shirley Temple of Waterville."

    LANDISVILLE, Pa. — Alan Di Giovanne, 62, of Landisville, Pa., passed away March 5, 2013, at his residence. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Gilormo and Mildred (Korszniak) Di Giovanne.

    Alan proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, from 1969 to 1973, in the 99th Bomber Wing Strategic Air Command. He will be missed by his family and his two dogs, Zoe and Bailey, who he treated as his children.

    ROCKLAND — Ebenezer Gay, 87, died quietly Feb. 28, 2013, at the Knox Center for Long Term Care Skilled Care Unit.

    He was born in Hingham, Mass., Dec. 17, 1925. Eben was the son of Martha Gay Terry and stepson of George S. Terry. Hingham was his permanent home until he retired to Rockland in December 1994. For 55 years, he and his family summered on the island of Vinalhaven.
