    WALDOBORO — Roy M. Winchenbach, 92, of Waldoboro, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2017, at the Sussman House in Rockport, with his loving family by his side.

    A full obituary will be posted soon.

    A funeral Service for Roy will be held on Monday, March 27, at 2 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main St. in Waldoboro, with the Rev. Robert Dorr officiating.

    Roy will be laid to rest privately in the Spring of 2017.

    THOMASTON — Sidney L. Peasley, 71, of Thomaston, died March 17, 2017, at the Sussman House in Rockport. Born in Rockland on Feb. 1, 1946, he was the son of Nathan G. and Anna (Burrill) Peasley and was a 1964 graduate of Rockport High School.

    During high school, Sid went to work at First National, where he has remained through the company's acquisition by Hannaford. He had worked in the Rockland, Boothbay, Damariscotta and Augusta stores before retiring as produce manager.

    Marian Buss passed away on March 15, 2017, at St. Joseph Hospital in Bangor. She was born in Craftsbury, Vt., on May 11,1925.

    She married the love of her life, James Buss, at the end of World War ll. They enjoyed a marriage of 71 years. She was a feisty 92-year-old who fought hard to live, but her heart was just not strong enough.

    ROCKLAND — Edward J. “EJ” Sullivan, longtime Rockland resident, passed away on March 14, 2017, at Sussman House in Rockport, following a brief illness.

    Born in Bath on Sept. 7, 1921, he reached the great old age of 95 with almost no medical problems and his mind as sharp as a 20-year-old. He was very well loved and admired by all who knew him for his friendliness, sense of humor and willingness to share his experiences and knowledge.

    ROCKLAND — Leroy A. Brown, 79, passed away on Feb. 27, 2017, at Maine Veterans Home in Augusta following a period of declining health.

    Born July 23, 1937, in West Stewartstown, N.H., he was the son of Leroy E. and Aline E. Asseline Brown. After graduating high school, he joined the military and spent more than 20 years serving in the United States Coast Guard, retiring in 1980 as a senior chief petty officer.

    Fred was a teacher with School Administrative District 5 for 33 years. After retiring, he worked for the Knox County Credit Union, as well as baby-sitting for family friends. He was also an active member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church.

    Linda worked as a waitress and also for a doctor's office in Bangor. In her spare time she enjoyed the outdoors, tending her flowers and watching birds.
