Youth Story Hour at Rockland Public Library

Wed, 03/04/2015 - 5:30pm

ROCKLAND — Rockland Public Library is partnering with OUT As I Want To Be to host Youth Story Hour, a new reading group for teens beginning Monday, March 16, 4 p.m.- 5 p.m., in the mural issue.

The Youth Story Hour is an opportunity for young people to connect over stories, books, and writing that reflect their experience, and the chance to share and write their own stories in a safe, affirming environment.

The library will provide the reading materials and snacks; youth are encouraged to bring a love of literature, open minds, and friends.

OUT As I Want To Be is a Rockland-based nonprofit youth advocacy organization dedicated to the support and empowerment of LGBTQ youth in the Midcoast.
