FREEDOM — The Waldo County Sheriff's Office said it received reports Aug. 3 from an individual concerned that a male juvenile was being "given marijuana by relatives.”

Detective Gerald Lincoln investigated the complaint, which resulted in a woman and her boyfriend being charged with several crimes.

Jasmine Schmidt, 33, of Freedom, allegedly supplied the juvenile with marijuana, as well as smoking it with the juvenile.

It was determined that Schmidt's boyfriend, Paul Rogers, 29, of Freedom, had also supplied and smoked marijuana with the juvenile, the release said.

A usable amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were recovered from the premises.

Jasmine Schmidt and Paul Rogers were each charged with aggravated furnishing of scheduled drugs, possession of a usable amount of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

An arraignment date of Sept. 11 has been set for both.
