Wiscasset Police Blotter Jan. 1 - 7

Chief Jeff Lange reported the following activity for the week of Jan. 1 - Jan. 7.

Sunday, Jan. 1

Police responded to a non-reportable motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Gardiner and Bath roads; responded to a trespassing complaint on Bath Road but were unable to locate the subject; and issued a warning for failure to stop at a stop sign.

Monday, Jan. 2

Police responded to a burglar alarm on Twin Rivers Drive; assisted a citizen on Birch Point Road; responded to an erratic operations complaint but were unable to locate the vehicle; responded to a theft on Bath Road; and responded to a burglar alarm on Bath Road.

Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Bradford Road. Robin Roberts, 27, of Wiscasset, hit a patch of black ice and rolled off the road. No injuries were reported.

Tuesday, Jan. 3

Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Bath Road. Lauren Conner, 24, of South Portland, hit a deer near Dunkin Donuts. No injuries were reported.

Police responded to a theft complaint on Bath Road; responded to a burglar alarm on Summer Street; and conducted a welfare check on Birch Point Road.

Wednesday, Jan. 4

Police responded to an erratic operations complaint from Woolwich but were unable to locate the vehicle; assisted a citizen at the police department; and assisted a walk-in at the police department with a credit card fraud complaint.

Thursday, Jan. 5

Police responded to a 9-1-1 check on Bradford Road; assisted a citizen on Birch Point Road; conducted a welfare check on Federal Street; and issued a warning for speed.

Police responded to a non-reportable motor vehicle accident on Old Bath Road. Kasey Benson, 36, of Wiscasset, slid off the road and went into a ditch. Benson was arrested for operating under the influence, refused treatment and was taken to Two Bridges Regional Jail.

Police responded to a loud noise complaint on Gardiner Road; and responded to a burglar alarm on Bath Road.

Friday, Jan. 6

Police responded to a medical emergency on Gardiner Road; provided escort/transport services on Bradford Road; assisted with a medical call on Gardiner Road; responded to an erratic operations complaint coming from Edgecomb but were unable to locate the vehicle; conducted a compliance check requested by the court; and issued a summons to Allison Eckel of Newcastle for speed; and issued a warning for a defective rear light; a warning for speed, and a warning for a defective headlight.

Saturday, Jan. 7

Police assisted with a medical emergency on Federal Street; responded to an erratic operations complaint on Old Ferry Road but were unable to locate the vehicle; responded to an erratic operations complaint on Main Street but were unable to locate the vehicle; issued a warning for speed; conducted a compliance check requested by the court; assisted with a medical emergency call on West Alna Road; assisted another agency with a welfare check; received information of a possible vehicle violation at Route One and Center Street but were unable to locate the vehicle; responded to a complaint of an unwanted subject on Birch Point Road; and responded to a burglar alarm on Bath Road.
