BELFAST — Wilma Grace "Billie" Davis Moore, 86, of Belfast, died at Sonogee Residential Care Facility in Bar Harbor on May 21, 2016. She was born June 18, 1929, in Belfast, to Florence Wilcox Goodwin and Arthur Davis. She graduated from Crosby High School in Belfast.

Billie worked as a nurse's aide at Waldo County General Hospital, as a telephone operator, housekeeper at The Belfast Motor Inn, and kitchen worker at Waldo County General Hospital. She married Benjamin Eugene Moore Jr., with whom she raised six children in Northport.

Billie was predeceased by her mother, Florence Goodwin; her stepfather, Carl Goodwin; her husband, Benjamin Eugene Moore Jr.; her son, Benjamin Eugene Moore III; her daughter, Roxanne Moore; and her beloved Bichon Frise, Butch. Billie is survived by two daughters and two sons, Susan Mickalowski of Bangor, Joanne Jameson and her husband, Jerry Jameson, of Searsport, Carl Goodwin-Moore of Belfast, and Wayne Moore of Bangor. Billie is also survived by her special cousins, Gale Hogan of Morrill and Virginia "Ginnie" Burrows of Belfast.

In retirement, Billie loved to spend time with the "End of the Hall Gang" at the Belfast YMCA, where she was Virgil's "Cupcake." Billie LOVED having lunch at the Dockside Restaurant, where the staff brought her endless joy. Billie also enjoyed reading, accompanied by chocolate. Her children are grateful for the excellent care provided by the staff at Tall Pines, Sonogee Residential Care Facility and Beacon Hospice.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 18, at 1 p.m. at the First Church, 8 Court St. in Belfast. A reception will follow in the Parish House Parlor.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make donations to the Waldo County YMCA or your local animal shelter.
