William D. Oldenburg, 75, of Belfast, passed away on January 24, 2018.  He was born in Teaneck, New Jersey, on July 19, 1942.  As a child he moved to Greenbush, Maine, to be raised by family.  He loved to sketch and do crafts.  He enjoyed music of all kinds and played the guitar, piano and ukulele.  Bill met Gloria Hamm in 1988 and they fell in love and started their lives together in the Belfast area.  He worked in construction, shoe and poultry manufacturing, as well as being a taxi driver which he enjoyed very much. He attended church at Brooks Pentecostal and loved all the people there. 

 

Bill is survived by his loving wife Gloria of Searsport; siblings Sandra Pearson, Philip Oldenburg; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as his friends and church family.
