NORTHPORT - William C. Lavoie, 76, passed away Aug. 11, 2016, at his residence in Northport. He was born April 1, 1940, in Nashua, N.H., to Charles and Gertrude (Bonnette) Lavoie.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran who worked as an engineer in electronics. He loved to hunt and fish and spend time with his family.

He was predeceased by his parents; and a brother, Robert Lavoie. William is survived by his wife of 36 years, Barbara Lavoie; his children, Florian Moody and his wife, Lisa, of South Carolina, Janice Moody of Camden, Maine, and John Moody and his wife, Susan, of New Hampshire; his brothers, John Lavoie and his wife, Gloria, and David Lavoie and his wife, Pat, all of New Hampshire, Donald Lavoie of Florida and sister-in-law, Pamela Lavoie, also of New Hampshire; his grandchildren, Christopher Moody, Tiffany Mannarini, Peyton Moody and Autumn Moody; his great-grandchildren, William Mannarini, Camden Mannarini-Springer and Jaxson Mannarini; and by several nieces, nephews and many friends.

A memorial service will be held Monday, Aug. 15, at 10 a.m. at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave. in Belfast. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Searsport.
