Wilberta Mitchell, 77 of Liberty, passed away December 18, 2016 in Bangor.  he was born in Benton on August 6, 1939 to Wilbur and Velma (Preston) Richards.  For many years she worked at Pen Bay Medical Center.  She was considered to be the backbone of the family.  Wilberta enjoyed knitting, gardening and camping. 

She was predeceased by both parents.  Wilberta is survived by her husband of 44 years, Lloyd Mitchell of Liberty; her children, Dale Crawford, Scott Crawford, Randy Crawford, Richard Crawford, Peggy Lynn Friedrich, Jean Burger; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren as well as friends made while at the hospitaland throughout life.
