Penobscot Bay Pilot Dirtiest Vehicle Photo Contest

Wednesday’s storm should be a great time to photograph your dirty vehicle for the contest...

So far, Mother Nature hasn’t cooperated and given the Midcoast much of a mud season this month, and that’s meant that our cars haven’t gotten wicked dirty yet either.

Furthermore, with a lack of mud and dirty cars, there’s been a lack of photo opportunities to enter Penobscot Bay Pilot’s Dirtiest Vehicle Photo Contest, so we are going to extend the entry period by another week. That means after tomorrow’s storm, and the melting that will follow through the weekend, snap a photo of your dirty car or truck and enter the contest.

The contest is sponsored by Mt. Battie Car Care and Corson’s Auto Supply, and they have also furnished the prizes. The winner of the contest will receive a $100 gift certificate to Mt. Battie Car Care and a $100 gift certificate to Corson’s Auto Supply. You’ll be able to get your dirty car spankin’ clean, and purchase some new windshield wipers and headlights too!

See you on the road, and keep an eye open for big puddles to splash through and let that salt dry to a dull, gray crust... yeah, it’s still winter in Maine. Lest we forget that after mud season, it’s black fly season. Yippee.
