Have you ever seen a Red-throated Loon?  A Barrows Golden-eye?  An Iceland Gull?

Winter is the best season for harbor wildlife. Join Ron Harrell and Gary Gulezian on the Belfast Footbridge, Dec. 9, 8 to 10 a.m., to watch ducks, loons and other birds in the harbor. Ron and Gary make learning easy and fun. Take binoculars, look through their scopes and wear warm layers.

The Belfast Bay watershed consists of four watersheds: the Little River watershed, 17.2 square miles; the Passagassawakeag River watershed, 50.6 square miles; Wescot Stream watershed, 19.8 square miles; and the Goose River watershed, 21.2 square miles, for a total Belfast Bay watershed of 108.8 square miles.
