BELFAST — Warren L. Batchelder Jr., 62, of Belfast, passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 6, 2014. He was born March 24, 1952, in Belmont, the son of Warren and Marion (Gross) Batchelder Sr.

Warren enjoyed collecting cars and ink pens, playing cards, watching wrestling and western movies, spending time with family and friends, and helping people, even if he didn't know them. He was a loving father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, who will be missed deeply.

He was predeceased by his parents; a son, Jonathan; a brother, Douglas; and his twin sister, Wanda.

Warren is survived by his partner, Elsie Geary of Belfast; his loving children, Tammy Watts and her husband, Chris, of Lincolnville, and Jason Batchelder and his partner, Shannon, of Maryland; his siblings, Rudolph (and Veronica), Maurice (and Deloris), Robert (and Patricia) and Ralph (and Betty) Hamm, Meredith Hart and Lewis Murray; his grandchildren, Christopher (and Ashley), Matthew, Nicholas and Bradlee Watts, as well as Mikaela, Emma, Jonathon and Taylor Batchelder; his great-grandchildren, Quinn and Willow Watts; many nieces, nephews and cousins; a special dog, Maggie Mae; and his Church Family at Crossroads Community Baptist Church.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 18 at 10 a.m. at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave. in Belfast, followed by a gathering at the American Legion Hall, 143 Church St. in Belfast.
