Waldoboro youth soccer teams win championships

ST. GEORGE — Both the boys and girls fifth/sixth grade soccer teams from Waldoboro Recreation were crowned champions of the Midcoast Soccer League Saturday, Oct 25.

Games were played at the St. George Recreation Field.

The Waldoboro girls upended Rockland Recreation 2-0, while the Waldoboro boys knocked off Warren Recreation also by a score of 2-0.

This is the Waldoboro girls first ever championship, as they were runner-ups last year.

This is the second consecutive championship for the boys.

#4 Thomaston beat #5 St George in the preliminary round.
