Waldoboro woman arrested for operating under the influence, with children in car

    ROCKLAND — A Waldoboro woman was arrested Saturday evening, March 11, by police for allegedly driving while intoxicated with two young children in the vehicle.

    Brandi Griffin, 31, was charged with operating under the influence, violation of conditions of release, unlawful possession of drugs, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, according to Knox County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Tim Carroll.

    Knox County Sheriff’s Deputy Scott Redmun responded to a call from the Knox County Regional Communications Center at approximately 7:30 p.m., regarding a woman who was possibly intoxicated while driving a vehicle in Warren heading toward Waldoboro.

    Redmun was in the area and stopped the vehicle and identified Griffin as the driver.  

    Griffin was transported to the Knox County Jail and released Monday on $1,000 cash bail.

    Her initial court appearance has not yet been scheduled.
