Waldoboro Police beat: Stolen 15 pack of beer, criminal mischief, speeding

    WALDOBORO - Waldoboro police responded to 207 calls for service from June 20-27. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.   

    July 21         

    Officer Larry Hesseltine investigated an accident on Atlantic Highway at 2:10 p.m. Laurel Gallione, 16, of Jefferson, was driving a 2006 Toyota Van. Nancy Genthner, 80, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2014 Toyota utility vehicle. Gallione’s vehicle was backing from a parking spot at Moody’s Diner. Genthner had entered the parking lot. Gallione’s vehicle backed into Genthner’s vehicle. No injuries were reported. 

    July 22

    Paul Griffin, 43, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Officer William Bragg for harvesting shellfish in a closed area. 

    Crystal Floccher, 18, of Orrs Island, was issued a summons by Officer Chris Spear for speeding. 

    Meghan Stambaugh, 37, of Bristol, was issued a summons by Spear for uninspected motor vehicle.

    July 23           

    Officer Larry Hesseltine is investigating a report from the Smoke Shop that an unknown male stole a 15 pack of Bud Light Beer.

    July 24

    Officer Jeffery Fuller investigated an accident at the Main Street and Kaler’s Corner intersection at 10:05 a.m. Rosalie Swan, 59, of Waterford, CT, was driving a 2006 Chrysler, sedan. Sherrill Osgood, 74, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2004 Subaru sedan. Swan’s vehicle failed to stop at the stop sign on Kaler’s Corner Road, striking Sherrill’s vehicle in the side on Main Street. No injuries were reported.

    July 25                  

    Zachary Genthner, 23, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Andrew Santheson on a violation of conditional release.
