Waldoboro Police beat: OUI, stolen iPhone, harassment

    WALDOBORO — Waldoboro police responded to 93 calls for service from Aug. 1-7. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

    Aug. 1         

    Officer Larry Hesseltine is investigating a report from a citizen of theft at his residence.

    Hesseltine investigated a report from a citizen of an unwanted subject. Subject was found and warned on trespass.

    Aug. 2         

    Hesseltine is investigating a report from a citizen that she is being harassed by text message.

    Kevin King, 55, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Officer Thomas Bartunek for operating under the influence and probation violation.

    Aug. 3         

    Hesseltine is investigating a report from a citizen that he is being harassed.

    Hesseltine is investigating a report from a citizen of an unwanted subject.

    Aug. 5         

    Melinda Allen, 49, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Officer Chris Spear for uninspected motor vehicle.

    Aug. 7         

    Officer Chris Spear is investigating a report from a citizen that someone stole her iphone from her vehicle.

    Officer John Lash is investigating a report from a citizen that he is being harassed.
