Waldoboro Police beat: Juvenile furnishing drugs, accidents

    WALDOBORO — Waldoboro police responded to 129 calls for service from Feb. 6-13. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

    Feb. 8

    Olivia Carter, 29, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Officer Larry Hesseltine for displaying fictitious vehicle inspection, operating with suspended registration and failure to show proof of insurance.

    Sgt. Jamie Wilson investigated an accident on Main Street at 3:20 p.m. Barton Seavey, 67, of Waldoboro, was driving a 1993 Nissan pickup truck. Seavey was parked in the Waldoboro Post Office parking lot. When he was leaving, his ladder rack hit the post office drop box, knocking it over and breaking out the rear driver's side window. Seavey left the scene without reporting the accident. No injuries were reported.

    Feb. 9

    A 15-year-old male, of Bremen, was issued a summons by Officer Chris Spear for unlawful furnishing of a scheduled drug.

    A 15-year-old male, of Union, was issued a summons by Spear for terrorizing.

    Feb. 10

    Spear investigated an accident on the Atlantic Highway at 9:20 a.m. Charles Kimball, 79, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2000 GMC sedan. Teisha Hatch, 27, of Warren, was driving a 2002 Subaru sedan. Kimball was in the breakdown lane re-entering the roadway, merging, and failed to yield right-of-way. Hatch was traveling southbound, following the roadway. No injuries were reported.

    Feb. 11

    Devin Davis, 31, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Hesseltine for domestic violence assault.

    Feb. 12

    Officer John Lash investigated an accident on the Atlantic Highway at 3:32 a.m. Joseph Friant, 56, of Cushing, was driving a 2003 Toyota pickup truck. Friant was traveling southbound, following the roadway, lost control of his vehicle and went off the road. No injuries were reported.

    Feb. 13

    Hesseltine is investigating a report from a citizen that she is being harassed.
