Waldoboro Police beat: Drug possession, harvesting clams without a license, burglary

    WALDOBORO - Waldoboro Police responded to 258 calls for service from Aug. 24-31. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

    Aug. 24 

    Robert Day, 50, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Officer Jeffery Fuller for unlawful possession of scheduled drugs. 

    Aug. 25 

    Michael McGuire, 46, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Officer Steven Drake for harvesting clams without a town license. 

    Anthony Feltis, 29, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Drake for undersized clams. 

    Aug. 26 

    Matthew Wheelden, 31, of Glenburn, was arrested by Officer Chris Spear for operating under the influence.                       

    Officer Larry Hesseltine is investigating a report from a resident of criminal mischief to her mailbox. 

    Jeremiah Carleton, 30, of Washington, was arrested by Officer Thomas Bartunek on a warrant. 

    Aug. 27        

    Spear arrested Michael Buck, 32, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Spear on a warrant. 

    Aug. 28 

    William Pratt, 30, Waldoboro, was issued a summons for harvesting shellfish with no license. 

    Glenn Barbour, 29, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons for harvesting clams over recreational limit. 

    Aug. 29        

    Sean Pinkham, 27, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Officer Bill Bragg and Drake on a warrant. 

    Sergeant Jamie Wilson is investigating a report from a resident that his residence was broken into. 

    Aug. 30 

    Fuller investigated an accident on Atlantic Highway and Kaler’s Corner Rd intersection at 10:11a.m. Terri Kirklian-Sullivan, 51, of Rockland, was driving a 2007 Saturn sedan. Raymond Athearn, 85, of Rockland, was driving a 2013 Chevrolet sedan. Both vehicles were travelling northbound on the Atlantic Highway. Kirklian-Sullivan failed to stop at the intersection, striking Athearn’s in the rear. Injuries were reported.

    Aug. 31         

    Fuller is investigating a report from a resident of criminal mischief to windows in his building.
