Waldoboro Police beat: Criminal mischief, trespassing, gasoline drive off

    WALDOBORO - Waldoboro police responded to 237 calls for service from May 11-18. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.  

    May 11  

    Officer John Lash investigated an accident on Union Road at 4:51 a.m. Regan Parini, 27, of Warren, was driving a 2015 Subaru sedan and was travelling towards Warren. A dog ran into the roadway from the right and the vehicle struck the dog, causing front end damage. The dog was killed in the accident. 

    May 12                    

    Officer John Lash investigated a report from the Big Apple of a $10.00 gasoline drive off. The driver returned and paid for the gasoline.                     

    Chief William Labombarde is investigating a report from a resident of criminal mischief to a front door.                                   

    Officer Larry Hesseltine is investigating a report from a resident of the theft of medication. 

    Officer Larry Hesseltine investigated an accident on Atlantic Highway at 2:30 p.m. Janelle Burns, 24, of Friendship, was driving a 2007 Chrysler utility vehicle and Nicholas Grover, 16, of Waldoboro, was driving a 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck. Burns’ vehicle was travelling westbound and slowed down due to the vehicles stopping in front of her with the traffic. Grover’s vehicle was behind Burns’ vehicle and when it stopped quickly in front of him, Grover struck the vehicle. No injuries were reported. 

    May 14        

    Officer Larry Hesseltine is investigating a report from a resident that someone is trespassing on her property.

    May 15                      

    Joseph Blackler, 27, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Officer Jeffery Fuller on a warrant.

    May 16        

    Officer John Lash investigated an accident on North Nobleboro Road at 9:31 p.m. Tammy Martin, 50, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2006 Suzuki pickup truck and was travelling north on North Nobleboro Road. Martin veered to the right, hit the soft shoulder, over corrected and hit the soft shoulder on the opposite side of the road, over corrected again and hit the soft shoulder on the northbound lane, did a 180 in the roadway, hit the shoulder of the southbound lane and rolled onto the car roof in the southbound lane ditch.
