Waldoboro Police beat: Burglary, stolen heating oil

    WALDOBORO — Waldoboro police responded to 77 calls for service from Dec. 5-12. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. 

     Dec. 9         

    Officer Dennis Remillard investigated a report from a citizen that her house was burglarized. It is unknown at this time if items are missing.

    Dec. 11      

    Jana Leighton, 52, of Damariscotta, was issued a summons by Officer Andrew Santheson for failure to show proof of insurance. 

    Christopher Simmons, 34, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Santheson for operating after suspension.                   

    Santheson is investigating a report from a citizen that someone stole heating oil from her residence.
