Waldoboro Police beat: Arrest warrants, shots fired at mailbox, window

    WALDOBORO — Waldoboro police responded to 249 calls for service from March 6-19. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. 

    March 6     

    Sean Williams, 40, of Damariscotta, was issued a summons by Officer Larry Hesseltine for attaching false plates. 

    Edward Zona, 36, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Hesseltine for operating after suspension.                     

    Corey Main, 42, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Officer Tom Bartunek for operating after suspension. 

    Donna Cox, 40, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Bartunek on a warrant. 

    March 7     

    Frederick Penn, 48, of Jefferson, was issued a summons by Hesseltine for operating after suspension.

    March 8     

    Ricky Coffin, 34, of Bristol, was arrested by Bartunek on a warrant.

    March 9                                              

    A citizen reports she is receiving harassing text messages. The subject was found and warned on harassment.

    March 12   

    Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating a report from a citizen and that her garage was broken into and an air compressor and chainsaw were stolen.

    March 13                                            

    Hesseltine investigated an accident on the Atlantic Highway at 9:29 a.m. Douglas McLain, 60, of Walpole, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet pickup truck. Rebecca Keene, 27, of Sabattus, was driving a 2009 Nissan sedan. McLain was traveling westbound, making a left turn. Keene was traveling westbound, following the roadway and driving too fast for conditions and struck McLain’s vehicle. No injuries were reported.

    March 14          

    Kimberly Holmes, 41, of Damariscotta, was issued a summons by Officer Chris Spear for unlawful possession of scheduled drugs. 

    March 15   

    Sgt. Jamie Wilson is investigating a report from a citizen that a vehicle drove by his residence and shot through his front window. 

    March 17   

    Jay Bryant, 39, of Bristol, was arrested by Wilson for operating under the influence.                    

    Wilson is investigating a report from a citizen that someone shot his mailbox. 

    March 18

    Wilson is investigating a report from a citizen that someone broke into his residence. At this time, it is unknown if anything is missing. 

    March 19   

    Fuller is investigating a report from a citizen that he is receiving harassing text messages.
