WALDOBORO — The Waldoboro Police Department are warning motorists who travel on Rt. 220/ Washington Road North of roofing nails on the road, according to a post on its Facebook page Feb. 15.

Officer Larry Hesseltine is investigating reports of drivers who have experienced flat tires due to roofing nails spray painted black, placed on the roadway.

Police said in their post that they have received several complaints and have narrowed it down to this area.
