Waldoboro Farmers’ Market opens June 8

Mon, 05/30/2016 - 4:30pm

Starting June 8, the Waldoboro Farmers Market will offer fresh produce and other goodies at Cider Hill Farm, 777 West Main Street (old Route 1). A variety of local vendors will be on hand from 3-6 p.m.

Get ready for fresh veggies, goat cheese, yogurt, caramel, eggs, meats, jams and jellies, olive oils and vinegars, local yarn and Maine wines; all at the nearby location of Cider Hill Farm. This will be the third season for this farmers market, which will run Wednesdays until mid-September.

The new logo, new brochures, photos of the past market activities and information about each vendor will be on display at the Waldoboro Town Office from June 1st until Waldoboro Day.

A special event is planned for each month during the market season. On these dates additional guest vendors will be selling their premium products. Plan to attend the Waldoboro Farmers Market on these dates:

June 15, Community potluck

July 20, Market Grill Cookout

August 17, Taste of the Market

September 14, Harvest Fest

Fill out a Visitor Survey at the market on Wednesday to be eligible to win a Basket of Plenty. Your survey will remain in the running unless you win. Once each month the winning entry will be drawn. The prize includes a basket with various market products, coordinated recipe cards, a bookmark for cookbooks and local trail maps. This year, there will be more kite flying, food tasting and potluck picnics.

Stop in.
