BELFAST — The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity May 29 - June 7. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt.

    May 26

Michael P Laurence, 34, of Rockland, was issued a summons for operating after suspension on Route 1 in Northport.

    May 29

Ethan Senay, 27, of Tenants Harbor, was issued a summons for following too closely on Atlantic Highway in Lincolnville.

Deputy David Wight responded to the scene of a four-vehicle accident on Atlantic Highway in Lincolnville where one operator failed to yield to a turning vehicle ahead of it causing a chain reaction crash.

A 2004 Cadillac operated by Ethan Senay was traveling northbound while tailgating the vehicle ahead of it, a 2009 Kia, when the Kia slowed for a vehicle ahead of it that was turning. Senay was unable to stop in time, skidding into the back of the Kia. The Kia was propelled forward by the force of the accident and struck the rear end of the vehicle ahead of it, a 2016 Chrysler, whose driver sustained a concussion in the crash. The Chrysler was then pushed into the vehicle into the 2015 Chevrolet that had stopped to turn left. Senay’s vehicle sustained minor damage and he was issued a summons for following too closely. He was uninjured in the accident. The Kia also sustained minor damage and the driver was uninjured, as was the driver of the Chevy, who was also uninjured.

Rodney Larrabee, 54, of Knox, was issued a summons for leaving the scene of a property damage accident on Town House Street in Freedom.
