BELFAST — The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity Feb. 22 - March 1. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt.

    Feb. 22

Emily Herman, 19, of Unity, was issued a summons for speeding 45 mph in a 25 mph zone on Quaker Hill Road in Unity.

    Feb. 23

Ryan Peterson, 35, of Stockton Springs, was arrested for operating under the influence.

Jesse W. Dodge, 36, of Frankfort, was issued a summons for attaching false plates on Route 1 in Belfast.

Corporal Darrin Moody responded to the scene of a two-vehicle accident on Route 1 in Stockton Springs where one vehicle lost control after trying to pass two other vehicles in wintry conditions. At the time of the crash, there was freezing rain and drizzle when a 2015 Dodge attempted to pass two cars and a State of Maine plow truck. The driver was traveling too fast for the slippery conditions and lost control while attempting to overtake, causing the vehicle to go sideways and hit another vehicle on its rear quarter panel. The driver of the Dodge was given a breathalyzer test and was arrested for operating under the influence after blowing a .12 percent. He was uninjured in the crash and his vehicle towed from the scene. The driver of the other vehicle, a 2010 Honda, was uninjured and the vehicle sustained minor damage.

    Feb. 26

Shane M. Smith, 30, of Winterport, was issued a summons for refusing to submit to arrest or detention on Goshen Road in Winterport.

    March 1

Nathaniel Cherry, 20, of Winterport, was issued a summons or operating without a license on Coles Corner Road in Winterport.
