Waldo County Sheriff’s beat: Domestic violence, failure to register

    BELFAST — The Waldo County Sheriff's Office reported the following activity June 30-July 10. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt.

    June 24 (late entry)

    Terry L. Stilson, 49, of Lincolnville, was issued a summons for domestic violence terrorizing.

    June 30

    Deputy Cody Laite responded to the scene of a deer v. car accident on Thompson Ridge Road in Searsmont where the operator was unable to avoid a deer entering the roadway. The operator was uninjured and kept the deceased deer.

    July 4

    Mark E. Tibbetts, 41, of Appleton, was issued a summons for failure to register a motor vehicle (30-150 days).

    Timothy E. Dyer, 33, of Jackson, was issued summonses for domestic violence assault, domestic violence obstructing the report of a crime, domestic violence terrorizing and refusing to submit to arrest or detention.

    July 5

    Anthony R. Allen, 22, of Belmont, was issued a summons for an inspection sticker violation.

    July 6

    Deputy Jonathan Shaw responded to the scene of a one vehicle accident where an operator mistakenly hit the gas pedal instead of the brake, causing their vehicle to strike a building. There were no injuries.
