CAMDEN — The Camden International Film Festival (CIFF), considered among the top 12 documentary film festivals in the world, turns ten next month (September 25 to 28) and is currently seeking volunteers to join for the festival weekend.

Each year around 150 volunteers make the festival possible, celebrating the top filmmakers and industry from around the world and the towns of Camden, Rockport and Rockland. Enthusiastic individuals are welcome to join the team and be part of the action, gain experience in film festival planning, connect with filmmakers from around the world, and see a selection of documentaries screened for the first time in New England.

There are numerous ways to help out, including ticket taking, event catering, street team, driving and ushering. Organizers are also looking for dedicated volunteers to help before and after the festival weekend. Volunteers will be rewarded throughout the festival with free tickets to screenings, a volunteer-only Sunday night party and further incentives based on the number of hours each volunteer is able to commit.

Sign up for a four-hour shift or an entire weekend to earn a pass and participate in the movies, panels and parties.

In addition to the usual perks (outlined in the link below), CIFF has a few other surprises up their sleeves for these loyal volunteers, such as a membership to Fandor, a subscription to Moviemaker Magazine for the first 100 to sign up, sneak peak movie screenings and a chance to meet the CIFF staff with exclusive presentations and media prior to the festival.
