CAMDEN/ROCKLAND — In preparation for a busy summer season, the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce is seeking to fill a limited number of volunteer positions for its Camden and Rockland Visitor Centers and as cruise ship passenger greeters in Rockland.

The Chamber seeks friendly, professional, and reliable individuals who enjoy interacting with people from all walks of life and who are enthusiastic about promoting our region, our Chamber members, and our area's many events and activities.

Individuals who are able to commit to a regular, three to four-hour weekly time slot during the summer season are preferred. If you cannot offer that amount of time, the Chamber also needs cruise ship greeters who spend about an hour each week greeting passengers coming ashore in Rockland. Year-round volunteers and single-day event volunteers are also needed. For all positions, knowledge of the local area is essential. Most positions will start around Memorial weekend and run through the fall foliage season.
The Chamber holds regular volunteer meetings and schedules tours to many local attractions, lodging establishments, and service businesses in order to help our volunteers expand their knowledge of the local area. Through our Visitor Centers and our outreach programs, the Chamber aims to be the authority on local business and tourism.
