CUSHING — Virginia Starrett Seavey, 92, died Dec. 30, 2014, at her home in Warren. She was born July 21, 1922, in Warren, to Hollis and Jennie (Moody) Starrett.

Virginia grew up in Warren and graduated from Warren High School as valedictorian, Class of 1940. She worked as a mender at the Georges Valley Woolen Mill for 16 years. She was a homemaker as well. She also worked at Reed's Gift Shop in Warren for 18 years.

She loved dogs, wild chipmunks, and watching and feeding birds. She enjoyed gardening and loved to cook.

She was predeceased by her husband, William Seavey, who died in 2012; her niece, Louise Pottle Joki; as well as a great-niece, Crystal Eaton.

Virginia is survived by a nephew, Stephen Lord and his wife, Gail, of Union; her great-nieces, Vicki Terwilliger and her husband, Jerry, of So. Portland, Pamela Doherty and her husband, Albert, of Warren, and Christina Lord of Hope; her great-nephew, Douglas Lord of Camden; several great great-nieces and nephews and several great great great-nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank John and Patty Sprague of Warren for their loving care given to Virginia this past year.

Per Virginia's wishes, no services will be held. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery in Cushing, alongside her loving husband.
